Recent Project Highlights
Parkdale Community Foodbank (2024-2026)
PCFB Hanging Gardens Project
The Parkdale community hub tackles local food insecurity head-on, supported by 300 volunteers and seven staff members. Recent funding from the United Way is supporting renovation, equipment upgrades and furnishings for 5 Brock Ave., including a new food hub with 4,500 sq ft of community space. By completion in April 2026, the facility will welcome 15,000 food bank users annually, with improved accessibility, food storage and prep facilities, and an enhanced space for clients, staff and volunteers.
As part of this project, etobiGrow was contracted to design, fabricate, and install a custom vertical farming system within the foodbank’s new building. The custom system has now been in full operation since March 2026 and provides the PCFB with the ability to grow over 350 heads of produce each week, year-round for their community. The etobiGrow team continues to conduct servicing and educational training workshops with staff and volunteers on a regular basis.
